Mother’s Day
~~~
Part of me feels bad that our children and grandchildren think they need to get me something for Mother’s Day, but the other part of me enjoys it. π
There were promises of a “meal out” and “we need to do something together in the near future.”
A rose from church
Now a kind of funny one. This balloon was a Mother’s Day gift from Roy and Deb in 2020 – a year ago. Deb apologized for it because she wasn’t pleased with how it had been filled – thinking it wouldn’t stay up very long.
That became a joke all year, because it stayed up until about two weeks ago – gradually lowering until it touched the ground. I took this picture today before throwing it out.
That crazy balloon. I was so disappointed when it was down in my car the day after getting it on our way to you. I wanted something special because no hugs then and masks. Since it was mid pandemic (covid), the florist wouldn’t re-fill anything on the spot, so I brought it any ways. That ? proved me wrong! Lol.
Silly balloon.
The flowers and promises of outings are great gifts — but the best of all is the balloon that lasts all year! What a shame it couldn’t last just 2 more weeks!
It was always fun to show it to Deb when they came to visit. π
