I love this scripture in the Message version – thanks for bringing it to my attention! (Could have used that in my blog, since its theme is “striving to see the ordinary things of life from God’s perspective” – kind of a take on my old monthly column in the Highway). I like it that you put those two command statements in bold – great reminders. I put them in a sticky on my computer monitor.
