Cloudy Sunset
Thursday, November 12 Love a cloudy sunset!
Rest in the Lord and be willing to wait for Him. Psalm 37:7 (NLV)
Thursday, November 12 Love a cloudy sunset!
Saturday Morning, November 21 We arrived early for our 2020 birthday breakfast with Jeff and Chris. This was for Chris’ birthday. I enjoyed the quotes on the blackboard behind our table. Gracie does the chalk writing and calligraphy on all the blackboards in her restaurant. There was another blackboard across the room from us. After […]
This was the sunrise I enjoyed several days ago. Doesn’t this look like a good place to sit and enjoy a truffle? That was my way of transitioning into a mistake I made in yesterday’s post. At one point today I thought, “It is time for another truffle.” It was then I realized that I […]
Thursday, November 26 Jere and Kristen always invite us and Roy and Deb to their house for Thanksgiving. (Everyone else has other family plans.) However, this year COVID changed their plans so they delivered everything to our house. They came about 10:30 am so everything could be put in the oven or wherever needed for […]
Monday, November 9 So pretty!
The other day when I was outside to take some pictures, I noticed several squirrel nests high up in some of our trees. They are now visible since most of the leaves have fallen. I have only seen squirrel nests from this vantage point, so I went to the internet to learn more about squirrel […]
Monday, November 9 Because of the fog and clouds, the sun appeared to be coming up over a mountain.
Tuesday, November 17 We needed a box of vanilla ice cream and had a desire to get out of the house for lunch. My view from our table. We were delighted to learn that our granddaughter Jana was working in the kitchen. I told the young lady who took our order to tell Jana that […]
Sometimes I think, “How can every sunrise be different?”
Last Sunday Marv Shenk used this illustration in his sermon. I expect it is always a timely illustration, but I thought it worthy of sharing at a time when the world around us needs every Christian to be a “Keeper of the Spring”, so I copied the story from the internet. The late Peter Marshall, […]
My usual warm day footwear is being barefooted, but it would have been good if I had been wearing shoes on the day I took a corner too short when doing laundry. 🙂 I learned something today when thinking, “If I could, I would probably go to restaurants and grocery stores with bare feet.” That […]
I wear a face mask when entering a place of business – more out of respect for the business than because it is a government requirement. Probably 100% of the businesses would prefer no masks, but it is required of them by the government – if they want to keep their doors open. The Wal-Marts […]
One evening, about a week ago, I noticed that a neighboring farmer was creating an interesting sunset when working in his field. About that time another neighbor drove by with a load of hay bales. I don’t think he even saw me in our driveway – with camera in hand – because he was also […]
It has been 20 years and nine months since we said goodbye to you. We miss you Daddy (Cerwin’s dad), but know you are enjoying your heavenly rest. A highlight of his life (other than the love of his family) was fishing in Canada. Daddy as a young man.
This was my view of the evening sun through the dogwood tree on our patio. Beauty happens every day in some way if we are looking for it.
I enjoy making a large pot of tomato soup and freezing about 2/3 of it for cold, rainy, fall lunches.
