How special to have Nittany Lion visit us after lunch on Sunday, February 16.
The Penn State mascot was in the area because of the Fire & Ice Festival in Lititz.
From the Internet: The Nittany Lion is the mascot of the Penn State Nittany Lions—the athletic teams of the Pennsylvania State University, located in University Park, Pennsylvania, USA. It is an eastern mountain lion, the “Nittany” forename referring to the local Mount Nittany, which overlooks the university.
This may give you a hint of who is inside. 🙂 These two go together – and have been together for almost 30 years.
Kristen works for Cornerstone Family Health which is part of Penn State Health Medical Group and was offered this neat opportunity to spend a few hours as Nittany Lion.
She was hoping to meet someone she knew so she could “mess” with them, but thought she saw hundreds of people at the festival, she didn’t see anyone she knew.
I tried to look close to see if I could find her in there.
Kristen said the person inside Nittany is very limited in what they see, so she felt safer when she had someone’s arm to hold when she walked.
