We started our day in the Food Court area with egg sandwiches.
The boys did not find any more 1969 or 1970 trucks (their parent’s birth years) so I took a few pictures of interesting trucks – among the field of 845.
Somebody did a good chainsaw carving to make this bulldog.
The boys thought this looked like an old-style vendor. They were right.
This is the one we saw arriving the evening before (see below).
The boys enjoyed talking to the man who owns this trailer (and an old truck to the left). We see him each year. I think he is a military promotional speaker. He also carries NASCAR literature. He wanted a picture of us, so I asked him to also take one with my camera.
Back at the chapel Cerwin and Associate Chaplain Bob were busy inside the chapel.
It was fun connecting with these two men who came to the chapel during the late morning. Jay (left) is from Delaware and a retired pastor who knows some of the same people we do. Bill (right) is a brother to Betty (one of our TFC friends) and also knows TFC’s President Emeritus Howard Jones. It was refreshing to talk with two godly men and hear their testimonies.
The lawn chairs outside the chapel had a continuing change of visitors. Most were friends of TFC.
A lady wanted a picture of us next to the chapel, so I asked her to also take one with my camera.
By 3:30 it was time to pack up and head home. I followed Cerwin until RT 322 near Ephrata. Though I have done this for many years, it is the first time I had an opportunity to take a picture like this. He had to wait for construction as I went down the exit ramp. I could not resist this pretty shot.
It was an amazing weekend.
What fun it is to see all those old and antique trucks!
It is one of my favorite shows because of the many old trucks.
Love the final shot of the TFC chapel on the road. π
Me too.
