This new toilet bowl spent last weekend in our kitchen – after being delivered on Saturday by FedEx.
When our old toilet developed an interior leak, Cerwin bought a new float apparatus, but the leak continued – meaning the tank needed to fill up every few minutes. Cerwin soon determined that the toilet itself was the problem.
Cerwin’s favorite job is doing research for solutions to situations like this, so he immediately went to Google to find the best toilet. He went to a local business to check on prices and brands, but determined that Amazon had the best deal on his choice of toilet.
The tank and lid had come in separate boxes on Friday and were stored in the mancave until Monday (Memorial Day).
When our FedEx delivery guy stopped in on Saturday, I told him that we were glad to see him, because we only received the toilet lid and tank the day before. 🙂
Our old toilet
Jere offered to help Cerwin install it on Memorial Day, and brought Jared along for a bit of plumbing education.
How nice to have a new toilet. It is a few inches higher which is nice for a couple of old people and any handicapped people who visit us. We bought the handicapped bar when Josiah lived with us and decided to keep it.
The old one was placed behind the house until it could be taken to a landfill – or wherever old toilets go. (It actually left our house today.)
Handicap bars are very useful.
I particularly like the one in the shower.
