I love when I see signs of our woodsy ferns coming to life above the ground.
The Bleeding Hearts are showing their pretty pink flowers.
These Yucca seed pods are pretty in their own way – telling me by their empty shells that they have done their job.
We will see their flowers later this summer.
The dogwoods are letting us know that the weather has become warmer.
The Red Buds will soon burst open.
I can’t get enough of our plentiful tulips.
I am starting to see signs that the tips are beginning to curl, meaning their prime bloom will soon be over.
Consequently I will take lots of pictures while they are still pretty.
Springtime continues to take my breath away.
Springtime takes my breath away as well. It just doesn’t last long enough for me. ? You aren’t very far behind us. ? Azaleas are in bloom now; iris, climatis, peonies, and pink ladies slippers all have good buds on them.
Our azalea are just beginning to show their red buds.
Your Spring is much further along than ours. Are those fiddlehead ferns? My Maine and Canadian relatives used to eat them. I’ve never tasted them.
I have had fiddleheads in Maine, but I don’t think ours are edible – but I never checked. Fiddleheads remind me a bit of asparagus.
Your yard is very beautiful now — it must be a pretty spring in the area!
This is the prettiest time of the year in our area – with lots of blooming trees – cherry, pear, crabapple and the many other flowers.
