This is what the sky looked like when we left the Myers’ house at 6:20 AM.
I love driving while the sun in rising.
About an hour and twenty minutes after leaving the Myers’ we were crossing the bridge from Maine to New Hampshire.
Early morning industry
Watching construction on Tappan Zee Bridge
Construction fascinates me. God gave amazing skills to men and women.

We stopped at a rest stop just north of New York City that was filled with people – with very few of them speaking English. The man who waited on us at Dunkin Donuts could barely understand our English and we could barely understand his strong middle eastern accent.
As I was watching people, I was surprised to see a woman walking toward us with one breast mostly uncovered – then I noticed she was nursing her baby.
Some people were obviously tourists and others were probably immigrants. We found everyone quite friendly. I heard Spanish, Dutch, and a variety of oriental languages.
I told Cerwin that I felt like I was in a foreign country. 🙂

I love road trips, but it is always good to be home – in our rural, Lancaster County setting.
One pastor long ago said when savages are saved they start putting on clothes and when nations turn from Christ they take them off.
I think it is great that mothers nurse their babies. I had a church fellowship once with 3 nursing moms in the back nursing as I taught the Bible.
I love sunrises. I used to start joking early in the morning and saw the sun rise as I jogged.
Sounds like a blessed trip!!!

It was a great trip.
A wonderful trip home — what a massive bridge construction project!
I hope you are warm and safe this evening — that sounds like a terrible storm!
We are safe and warm. I just woke up to quite a few new inches of snow. I am anxious for daylight.
great sunrise and water shots ~ so pretty ~
