Saturday Evening, July 5
We got to Zionsville about an hour before our supper appointment ~ which we planned ~ so we’d have time to enjoy the historic area of the town.
We had been here the evening before, but discovered almost everything was closed for the holiday.
I loved the brick streets.
Consequently when we were looking for a meeting place ~ for us and our friends Clayton and Peggy (fwren on Xanga) ~ this town sounded appealing, plus three motel attendants said that Cobblestone Grill was the place to get the best steak in the area.
It was a beautiful evening, and most shops and houses had pretty flowers on their property.
It was about this time that I “felt” like someone was behind us.
Clayton and Peggy had spotted us and tried to sneak up on us. 🙂
Oh, what fun to see them again.
Peggy and I liked this little library.
Oh, how delightful to walk through this town with friends.
Continued tomorrow night ~ including pictures of Clayton and Peggy.
oh, weren’t the flowers just beautiful!! such a fun evening ~
Yes, they were beautiful!
What a wonderful town full of flowers! I’d love to meet Peggy one day! You and she were among my very first Xanga acquaintances!
Oops — I’d love to meet you too – 🙂 (why can’t I edit comments?!) !!!
Meeting you will be a priority if we ever get to your area. 🙂 I’m not sure why you can’t edit. I can, but then it is my site.
Or a priority for me if I get back to Pennsylvania!
Peggy and I agreed that we miss the Xanga community. Yes, I think I became acquainted with you in 2007 – during my first year of blogging.
