Snowy, Icy Scenes Around Our Place Today
The temperature was so close to freezing at daylight this morning, that I knew I had to get outside early if I wanted to get pictures of snow.
By the end of the day most of the snow had melted from the tree branches – leaving just a few icy spots that glittered in the sunset…
and my favorite stone turtle was partially freed from the snow and ice that covered him since last night.

The setting sun made the ice look bronzed.

Today’s Snow
This was the scene from our front porch this morning – facing south.
By 2:00 p.m. it looked like this.
We didn’t get a lot of snow – just enough to make everything pretty.
By nighttime the falling snow looked like this – when enhanced by a camera’s flash.
Cerwin thought it looked like a sky full of stars and planets.
Search for peace, and work to maintain it.

Everyone had a name tag on the table – at the chair where they were supposed to sit. Someone tore Abby’s into pieces. 
She was rearranging it when we arrived.

On the way home we stopped to visit Cerwin’s Mother

She was sewing patches together for comforters – her favorite pastime – when we arrived.
Cerwin usually winds her clock each time we visit.
