Macungie Antique Truck Show – Day 2

| Transport For Christ

Saturday, June 18 I met this rabbit shortly after 6:30 AM when I was walking across Macungie Park to get our morning coffee and breakfast sandwich. It wasn’t interested in going with me as it preferred the grass over coffee. I love seeing new (or old) things on an early morning walk. About mid-morning Denis […]

Friday, June 17 We weren’t there very long before people began visiting the chapel – some came in alone, others with family or friends. While the men – Cerwin and Chaplain Steve – manned the chapel, I went for a walk to see what was happening in the vendor area of the park. It seems there […]

June 1 to 15 Wednesday, June 1. I received a call from Chrome Shop Mafia saying they had just shipped a partial skid of goodies to our office. I was expecting a box of “goodies” from them, http://www.chromeshopmafia.com/truck-shows/ because they offered to give us goody bags for the first 125 drivers who register at the Truck Rally, but a […]

A few weeks ago Cerwin got the word from TFC President, Scott Weidner, to begin construction on a new chapel for Houston, Texas. Saturday Evening, May 14 We had about an hour and a half – after the last people left from yard cleanup – to get ready for the banquet. I kept looking at our beautiful yard and watching the birds return to their turf near our feeders. The flower beds look so nice with mulch or red stones. If […]

The newest trailer was backed into the TFC shop last fall, but Cerwin is still waiting for the go-ahead to begin construction. Delay in construction on the new trailer is for good reason as this will be the first in a series of Truckers’ Life Centers—chapels that will include a wellness area. TFC President and […]

Sunday, January 10 It has been a tradition for many years that we combine our Truck Rally and Lancaster Banquet meetings in one afternoon – because some members are on both committees. My husband, Cerwin, and I have four children, seventeen grandchildren (2 are in Heaven), and 19 great grandchildren. Cerwin spent 40 years as a truck driver for Ferrellgas. We are both retired from serving with Transport For Christ - a ministry to truck drivers - and love our life in rural Lancaster County, Pennsylvania.
