The other evening as the sun was setting in the west and after I took the pictures I posted yesterday, I noticed two things: the beautiful moon in the sky and a bird’s nest in our dogwood tree on the patio.

I did not notice the bird’s nest until all the leaves were gone. I wonder which of our birds lived there during the summer.

The Waxing Gibbous moon was bright in the dark eastern sky. Google said it was about 87% illuminated.
