My Secret Sister Revealed!

It was a few weeks ago that we were invited to Kyle and Korina Wenger’s house for Sunday lunch. They are “our” deacons for the year and have committed to having each of their “responsibilities” for a meal during the year of 2025. It was fun visiting with them, their four children and the other couples they invited.

As we were getting ready to leave, Korina said, “Before you leave, I want to tell you that I am your secret sister.”

Oh, what fun to discover who it was. At the time she said that she would take me out for lunch in the next few weeks.

Before long we settled on lunch at Fox Meadows Creamery.

We had a fabulous panini lunch and enjoyed a two-hour conversation. She had many questions for me – which took many “bunny trails.” Notice the flowers between us? That was her gift to me, as well as the lunch.

I took this picture after arranging the flowers when I got home.

It is so nice to have fall colors in the house.

Thank you, Korina, for being “the best” secret sister.

I loved her many thoughtful gifts throughout the year and had fun trying to figure out who she was because of her two hints. I knew she had a daughter and that she and her husband both grew up in White Oak Church.

I wrote down thirteen possibilities from our church directory by using those hints. She was on the list. 🙂
