Music on the Mountain

We have heard about this gospel concert near Gap for many years, but this is the first time we knew about it ahead of time and fit it into schedule.

The opening group at 4 pm Friday was Tru-Vintage – one of our local favorites.

We always know we will have a good gospel bluegrass concert when they are on stage.

This was the first time we heard the Matt and Nimmie Band which included friends and family.

We went for supper during a short break between bands. I had been hungry for a smoothie all day and was delighted to find a Pina Colado one at a specialty food truck. Cerwin got a cheeseburger meal which included coleslaw, baked beans, and a drink.

We relaxed, enjoyed our food, and listened to John Schmid – one of our favorite musicians.

He has a Johnny Cash sound and is a great storyteller.

The last group for the evening was Aaron Stutzman family.

They have a very talented family.

It was an incredibly enjoyable evening.

The concert was a fundraiser for One Life. You can learn about it at ForOneLife.org.

Around the world, there are communities where talent is untapped, cities are underdeveloped, and opportunity is rare. For One Life builds physical infrastructure where personal development and community impact happens.
