Planting corn in the field beside our yard was very late this year due to so much rain.

It was finally planted on June 25 when the field was dry. Corn in this field is often 5 to 6 foot tall by this time of year.

I love watching new corn coming up out of the ground. I took these two pictures on July 3 – eight days after the planting.

Today, July 15 – 12 days later – it is looking like this.

It will probably not catch up to the corn that was planted early, but it is currently looking healthy.
