Howard and Pat (from Connecticut) usually spend a week or so in Lancaster County each summer – mostly to go to Sight and Sound. They often contact us about meeting them at Yoder’s for a buffet supper.

Howard has been involved with Transport For Christ almost from its beginnings in the Northeast Region of the United States, so this year we invited Sam and Inge to join us. Howard and Pat were both widow/widower when they met several years ago. We love hearing about their busy life – and both are in their 80s. He teaches Bible and plays drums in a variety of bands. She teaches art classes (watercolor).

When a waiter noticed Inge taking a cell phone photo, he offered to take the picture so she would be in the shot too. I offered him my camera so I would be included in one of my photos.

We had an incredibly fun time. Inge enjoyed speaking Portuguese with one of Pat’s daughters-in-law. Both are from Brazil.
