Yesterday, we decided to go to Big John Nolt’s Deli near Stevens because we have been hearing about their delicious, prepared foods and meals.
We used our GPS because we had never been there and weren’t sure of the location. It is about 10 miles from our house.
As I went in the door and was choosing a grocery cart, Cerwin, who was just behind me, said, “Did you bring your wallet? I forgot mine.”
He never forgets his wallet and I rarely take mine on a short grocery stop like this.
As we were walking back to our car, we heard, “Hey” from a car that just pulled in. It was a man we know from Paul B’s Hardware Store. Cerwin often goes to him when checking out.
When I told him that we were going back home to get a wallet because both of us forget ours, he said, “I’ll pay your bill. You can pay me back when you get to Paul Bs. It felt rather awkward, but we accepted his kind offer.
This morning Cerwin is going to Paul B’s to pay our grocery bill. 🙂
Thank you, Lord, for that perfect timing and a very gracious man who only knows us from a checkout counter in a hardware store.
Thank you for sharing this God story! Isn’t it fun to see how He orchestrates moments in our lives?!?
Yes. It was a reminder that He is always watching over us in little things and big things.
Wonderful!
I thought so.
