First Birthday Party for Sierra

We arrived a few minutes late due to the previous party for Nelson and Nancy (Yesterday’s post). Everyone was on the porch or under a tree due to the rain.

We missed the candles and Happy Birthday singing.

The birthday girl, Sierra, is one of our youngest great grandchildren. She is great grandchild #17 out of 19 and #20 and #21 are on the way.

Her youngest brother Waylon wanted in on the picture, then asked to have my camera. He loves to take pictures. He has to put the strap over his neck and stay next to me. I think he took about 20 pictures. Most were of legs, partial bodies, crooked, or out of focus, but the following two were quite good.

His Pop Pop (our oldest son) and his mom, Diana.

Many people stayed on the porch while eating the snack provided by Donovan and Diana.

Due to the rain, the ladies and many children went inside to watch Sierra open her gifts.

Jeff always gives his grandchildren (boy or girl) a John Deere tractor that has unique lights and sounds which children like.

Many children moved in closer to see it.

Thanks Donovan and Diana for inviting us. We love celebrating our great grandchildren’s birthdays.
