We found this cute dwarf, weeping Red Bud tree on Thursday, May 1.
We had purchased a red bud several years ago, of a different brand that we were not pleased with, so when a storm damaged it last summer, we were not disappointed when it had to be taken down.

We knew more about red buds on this purchase and looked at a variety, but this one took my eye, especially for the area where we wanted it planted.

The salesman said its branches will eventually touch the ground (if we want that to happen) and will not get very tall or wide.

Since Cerwin is struggling with arthritis the past few months, we asked our grandson Jordan if he would be willing to plant it. He came a few days after our purchase. By that time the blossoms had turned into leaves.

One of Jordan’s first jobs was in a greenhouse nursery, so we can depend on him to know what he is doing.

It was amazing how quickly he dug the hole, measured everything perfectly and placed the tree in place.

Thanks, Jordan.
