As soon as I looked out the window, I noticed the hawk. I love capturing life when the creature has no idea that I have a camera focused on it.

As far as I can tell, it is a Cooper’s Hawk. The Sharp-shinned Hawk is similar.

Now I know why there weren’t any birds at the feeders.
