Breakfast with Diane, Mark, Stetson, Kayla and Hezekiah who arrived from Tennessee the day before. I am thankful for our large garage on a weekend like this.

Mark and Diane thoroughly enjoyed having quality time with their grandson Stetson.

Stetson and Henley’s dad, our grandson Hezekiah.

Stetson hadn’t seen us since he was a baby, so wasn’t sure about us at first, but it didn’t take long for him to warm up to us and our place. He soon knew where every toy was located and often asked us or Mark and Diane, “Play me?” – meaning “Play with me?”

Henley was just born in October, so this was the first time her Maine grandparents and Pennsylvania great grandparents got to hold her. Seeing pictures is okay, but it doesn’t match seeing her in person.

Diane was trying to get her to smile for the camera, and it almost worked.

An afternoon game of Qwirkle in the back part of the garage.

Our granddaughter Lydia began working on two charcuterie boards in the late afternoon to have them ready for the Myers 5:30 pm Christmas supper. The other one was mostly made up of fruit.

The Myers family who enjoyed Christmas in our garage: Abby, Garth, Nathaniel, Anthony, Renee, Natalie, and Jasmine; Mark & Diane; Hezekiah, Kayla, Stetson, and Henley; and Lydia. We expected Josiah, Becca, and Andre to be here, but they missed their flight from California and didn’t arrive until late on this night. It didn’t suit Nsimba, Elizabeth, Nicodemus, and Nzeba to come from Maine due to work and school.

Cerwin and I provided the main course from Two Cousin’s Restaurant as a gift to Heze and Kayla’s family for their 2024 birthdays. Everyone seemed to enjoy Two Cousin’s new Cowboy Pizza (left) which was made up of steak, battered onion rings, cheese, and barbecue sauce. There was a plain pizza for the children, plus a steak stromboli, a ham and cheese stromboli, and boneless barbecue wings.

The Myers Christmas celebration will be continued in my next post.
