This set of pictures is from the few days Nate and Abby’s children were here following the birth of their baby brother.
Jazzy and Natalie rarely watch a movie in a normal sitting position. 🙂
Anthony, their big brother chose a more conventional way to watch a rodeo. He went home on Monday evening so he could help his mom.
Diane (our daughter) was in charge of the children, and in this picture is combing Jazzy. They all slept in our basement bedroom (sofa bed and air mattresses) and used the garage for crafts, playing with toys and eating.
Diane had a special gift or project for them each day. On this day it was baking cookies. Natalie is stirring the mix and Renee is doing the taste testing.
Diane doing the final stirring.
The delicious results.
Another way to watch a movie.
Diane helped the girls make a “Christmas tree” out of toy baskets and plastic animals.
They used Scotch tape to attach the animals to the baskets.
Their Tuesday project was making trees with paper, paint, and crumbled up leaves. Diane and Natalie.
Jazzy with her tree.
Diane comes up with the most creative ideas.
It takes a lot of creativity to care for so many grandchildren all at once — Diane seems to have exactly what it taes to be a good grandma!
She is an amazing mom and grandma.
