This is what the grass looks like on the woodlot side of our house these days – lots of leaves.
You can see a variety of leaves: hickory, maple, oak and cherry.
At the moment, this Shagbark Hickory is the most colorful tree in our yard.
“I’m so glad I live in a world where there are Octobers.”
L. M. Montgomery, Anne of Green Gables
That is a beautiful October view!
Thanks. How are you doing?
I’m doing ok — a) my settings were changed accidentally, unknown to me, so that I didn’t see posts since of the first of the month — I think I’m back on track now. And b) I had outpatient surgery yesterday for breast cancer 0 luckily caught very early (stage-0) . I am home today, and have not had pain or other issues. I’m a bit tired, but will recover from that in another day or two. Surgery went well, and hopefully that plus some treatments will resolve the cancer issue. There won’t be chemo this time, and maybe no radiatus as well. There may be some hormone blocker treatment along the way, but tht sounds not too bad. I willhave a period of rest and recuperation now for a while, and then back to something approaching normal. Lesson for everybody — annual screenings are super important, and can lessen treatments as they catch illness earlier!
I agree with you about annual screenings.
