Johnny Jump-ups and Something to Ponder
My flower ID App tells me these pretty orange flowers are Johnny Jump-ups – a species of violet. Sometimes they are also called wild pansies. They came in a flowerpot I bought at a greenhouse earlier this spring. ~~~ Something to Ponder ~~~
Beautiful Butterfly and Something to Ponder
I enjoyed watching this butterfly which appears to be a great spangled fritillary. I am not familiar with those, but photos on the internet appear to be the same. It was interesting to see the difference between the top and bottom of its wings. ~~~ Something to Ponder ~~~
