We’ve had this burgundy birdbath for many years and had no intention of changing it.

But woke up to this scene a few days ago. Apparently, a raccoon tried to get a drink during the night – and I don’t blame it because we had a series of very hot days. It was probably using the feeder and small bench to reach the water.

Consequently, we went shopping for a new one and chose a new color.

The birds seem to be enjoying it.

Or maybe they aren’t enjoying it if they have to share the water.

We are looking forward to having it for many more years and watching birds drinking, bathing, and arguing.
I hope this bird bath is a little more difficult for the raccoons to reach! Great shots of the argument!
Cerwin used cement glue to attach the top to the bottom. We hope that helps if a raccoon tips it again. 🙂
