A Relaxing Bluegrass Evening

We saw this event listed in local events on Facebook at Mount Gretna Tabernacle, and since we enjoy bluegrass, it caught our attention. It has been many years since we went to the Tabernacle – and it’s only 13 minutes from our house.

We love being retired with time to enjoy more local events.

A freewill offering is received as payment for the evening.

We never heard the Bluestone Bluegrass Band but were pleasantly pleased with their performance.

The tabernacle is an open-air venue and is 132 years old. People have permanent or summer houses and were sitting on their porches enjoying the music.

Mount Gretna is a unique, tree-lined community with many streets that do not accept vehicles.

We may go back for other concerts during the summer. The Knotwork Band, a Celtic folk music group, will be there in a few weeks. Celtic is another style of music we enjoy.
