First, the field must be prepared.
The planting began a few hours later. This is the field next to our house.
Now we wait for the corn to grow.
Oh, wait! It has started to grow!
The above photos were all taken on June 4 – Today June 15 (11 days later) – this is what the field next to our house looks like…
Crops and crop reproduction amaze me.
Isnβt it interesting how God makes things grow
and for us to enjoy eating??
Yes.

And the cycle repeats itself ~ ~ ~ It’s amazing that the corn has grown that much in so few days!
Field crops continue to amaze me.
Our corn is already way past knee high. I think it’s going to be head high by the 4th of July! this is the earliest is been that I can remember.
We have some tall corn around here too. I don’t know if this was planted late on purpose, if the late planting was due to weather, or maybe this is a shorter season corn. It will probably be ready to harvest about the same time as that which was planted earlier.
I have heard that on a quiet night you can actually hear the corn grow!! Not sure if that’s truth or fable, but I heard it from people who live near fields such as those by you. π
I like sleeping too much to stay up all night to see if that is true. π
