Three Great Granddaughters in Our Yard

I remember the day (like yesterday) in 1967 when I looked out our kitchen window into a yard not yet seeded, and thought, “Someday there will be children playing in that yard.”

At the time we had two children, and I couldn’t know that there would be two more, plus grandchildren and now great grandchildren playing in that yard.

Children playing in our yard still blesses my soul.

On this morning it was Nate and Abby’s three girls who were here while Abby took care of an appointment.

They played with balls and bats while I weeded the flower bed on our patio.

After a while, Jazzy said, “It’s hot in the sun.” I replied, “You should play in the shade of those trees – which they did. In this picture: Jasmine, Natalie, and Renee.
