These roses captured my attention as we walked toward Olive Garden on Monday afternoon.

I even stopped to smell them. What a delightful, light rose scent. I was a bit surprised because many roses do not have a scent these days.

Rose breeders have opted for pretty petals over pleasant perfumes, and as a result, the rose’s natural scent has faded over time.
