What fun to take our friends Cookie and Gene out for his 84th birthday brunch.
We have been friends since our children were small and they were brand new Christians. Probably fifty years.
He is comfortable with Kountry Kitchen, so that is what we chose for him.
My Eggs Benedict and Cerwin’s Western Omelet. Gene had his favorite pancakes and I think Cookie had eggs – maybe over medium.
Cerwin took a candle along and told the staff to stick it in “something” for dessert. They surprised Gene with a Happy Birthday serenade and a large slice of cake. I think the entire room sang along with the staff.
None of was hungry, so we sliced it in half, with each couple sharing a half. Oh, my! It was a most delicious cake.
What a fun morning.
Those look like wonderfu birthday meals! I like the idea of sticking the candle in something!
We were surprised when the “something” was a delicious cake. We were expecting something like a donut.
Love the pictures!
