This was Cookie’s birthday, so I invited her out for brunch. We don’t see each other very often these days, but we sure have fun catching up.

We became friends in the early ’70s when our children were small – and she was a brand-new Christian. We hung out together a lot in those days – so our children could play together – and when she needed encouragement in her walk with the Lord.
