After several days of snow this past week, I have concluded that Valentine’s Day is placed in just the right spot on our calendar.

Shrimp Corn Chowder (above) for me and Potato Soup for Cerwin was a perfect way to celebrate a cold, wintry Valentine’s Day at The Udder Choice.

We also shared a delicious BLT.

This is our 61st anniversary of celebrating Valentine’s Day together – sometimes with special meals at home or in a restaurant, other times with flowers, chocolates or special gifts.

Is there anything better than being old, retired and celebrating a simple meal together on a cold wintry day.
