It was an honor to have our daughter Diane and her friends Jill and Greg as overnight guests on Friday night, January 12. They drove through the night – from Maine – to be here for Harold Martin’s funeral on the 13th. They arrived about 1 am in the morning. Cerwin and I did not hear them come in our prepare for bed.
Harold was very active in Bible Helps publications and Brethren Revival Fellowship and part of establishing the Brethren churches in Maine. Diane and the Keeney’s are active in the Wales Brethren Church, Wales Maine.
We enjoyed breakfast and lunch with them on Saturday, before Greg and Jill moved on to stay with his parents on Saturday night and their daughter on Sunday night before heading back to Maine.
Diane is staying for more than week to help their daughter Abby with wintertime canning. Diane’s husband Mark will arrive on Friday evening, January 19 to attend Jordan and Nicole’s wedding on the 20th.
The extra time with Diane gave us an opportunity to take her out for her January 1st birthday. Specialty restaurants have gotten so expensive that we are doing pizza restaurants for birthdays this year.
It was great to spend time with her.
She chose a wrap while Cerwin and I shared a cheesesteak at Two Cousins Pizza near Manheim. It is difficult to find a better cheesesteak.
Diane is looking just as young as ever! π Must be in the genes. π
She is sitting across the room from me. Your note made her smile.

My goodness — another wedding!
