Cerwin has used the nut picker upper and raked them until he filled eight wheelbarrow loads of hickory nuts, yet the trees seem to still be filled with them.

They looked pretty silhouetted against the sunrise a few days ago.

There definitely was a bumper crop this year. Our squirrels should be happy through the winter – whether gathering from the large pile that Cerwin has created or from what is left on the trees.
