A pretty Sunday sunrise.
Amish church was held at our newest Amish neighbor’s place – the only Amish home with a mailbox on our one-and-a-half-mile road. Two other Amish neighbors have property up to our road, but their mailboxes are on another road.
I expect worship was held on the second floor of their large shed to the right. The white wagon is where benches, song books, etc. are stored and transported to the next home where church will be held.
The sign on the right tells them where to take their horses as this was the first time they had worship at this house.
I took these pictures with Cerwin’s cell phone on the way home from our worship service.
What a lovely day you had. That’s a large group for the worship service. Is the white wagon also horse-drawn?
The white wagon is quite heavy – at least when filled with benches – and is often pulled by a truck or tractor – at least in our area. I think this group consists of about 80-100 people.
