We were on the way to a family birthday party – a bit ahead of time – so when I saw the bison next to the road, I asked Cerwin if we could stop for pictures. He kindly agreed.
It is delightful to see them up close. Most times they are in a field that is farther from my camera view.
If you want to be in touch with the neighbors who raise them, you can see them on Facebook – (1) Facebook Old Springhouse Bison Farm.
I particularly liked capturing these photos of a baby bison nursing. There are quite a few babies right now. They are so cute.
I think this mama has a pretty face – for a bison.
Oh, my — all that grain, and bison too! I didn’t realize that you have bison in your back yard!
They are about 3/4 mile away. Jere and Kristen look over this field from their front porch.
What fun! I’ve only seen bison in Yellowstone NP, and on Catalina Island, where there’s a small herd in the back country of the island! Your photos are beautiful!
I agree. We enjoy seeing them often as they enjoy one of their pastures when we head to the town of Manheim.
