Their choice for a restaurant was Belvedere Inn on North Queen Street in Lancaster.
From the Internet: Opened in 1998, The Belvedere Inn has always been a fun and relaxed place to enjoy life, food family, and friends, old and new.
This Victorian Italianate-style city mansion was built in 1869 by the late John S Rohrer, a tobacco merchant from Strasburg to entertain his guests while visiting the city. He incorporated a belvedere, meaning “beautiful view” on top of the mansion for his guests to view downtown Lancaster.
We were in an elegant room on the second floor – not far from the outside dining. We chose to stay inside because the outside temperature was in the 90s – even at 5 pm.
The lighting in the room was low, and the light on our table messed with Zach’s face.
I asked him to move close to Gloria. That worked better. Some of our conversation was concerning the upcoming birth of their first baby in February. We are excited for them.
Gloria is our youngest granddaughter.

Cerwin had hamburger sliders.
Zach had this interesting salad and a cup of French onion soup.
I enjoyed this delicious salad and a cup of lobster bisque.
We loved catching up on their lives and closed our evening by sharing these yummy desserts.
We are open to go to this restaurant again and now know that there is a parking garage just a few houses away. Zach drove because we weren’t sure about parking on Queen Street.
I never tire of having meals with our grandchildren.
I’ve read that you’ve had a heat wave — we had a break over the holiday weekend, with yo’s temps, but it’s warming up again for this weekend! That looks like a lovely restaurant, and interesting food! Good wishes to Gloria and Zack!
I think last night’s rain and thunderstorm may have cooled our temperatures. Hopefully.
