Wednesday Morning June 21

I was going to Dale and Dot’s place during the late morning to meet Dot for a lunch date with my sister Nancy and sister-in-law Brenda and texted Dot to ask if I could come early to photograph some of their flowers.
She replied, “Sure.”
She had invited me to do that at an earlier family gathering and this seemed to be the perfect day.
After telling Nancy and Brenda that I was going early to take pictures, they decided to also get in on the tour of the beautiful flower-filled yard.
It is easy to understand why this is Dale and Dot’s happy place.
They add new things each year and continue to have creative ideas for expanding the flowerbeds.
Dot knows almost every name of their flowers and plants and only needed her cell phone identifier for one or two.
It is easy to see why pollinators love their yard.
They started adding gnomes. Their grandchildren call this one “grandpa and grandma”.
I think this orange beauty is the one they don’t remember planting. They think maybe a bird, or the breeze brought a seed to their yard.
However it got there, it came to the home of great caretakers.
Now you know why Dot is often the person in our family who gets called on to create bouquets for family events.
What a beautiful splash of color in Dot’s garden!
I think you can find the entire color wheel there.
Wow! Beautiful flowers! Effective photography! Thanks.
Their flower beds made me want to do better with ours. 🙂
