These two – Emma (I call her Cookie) and Vivian are secret sisters through a program at our church. When Vivian learned that Cookie and I have been friends for a very long time, she decided to surprise Cookie by inviting me along on their dinner date. Cookie knew that someone else was going along and figured it was me as they approached our road.

We had a ten-minute wait for an outside table.

Cookie and I became friends when our children were very young, shortly after she made a decision to become a Christian. Cookie grew up in a religious home, but not a place where she learned to follow Jesus. We spent many hours discussing the Bible in our lifetime.

It was a beautiful day and so much fun to have lunch with these two friends. I usually get a slice of Tomato Pie and fruit when I eat here. You will also notice a scone in the background – which comes with a slice of pie.
