Loved looking out the window before getting my first cup of coffee and seeing three raccoons.
I didn’t particularly like that they were eating birdseed, but they were fun to watch.
We repositioned a feeder, now the extra seeds and suet are dropping in the bird bath. We will have to move the feeder so the water stays a bit cleaner. I am not sure if it was getting the last drops of water or eating suet.
I was not able to capture all three in one shot, but expect they were siblings since they seemed to be together.
Well, they saw the “Welcome” sign and must have figured out they were welcome to the birdseed! π
Maybe I should take that away. π
It’s too bad they’re such pests, because they are really cute.
I agree.
Just be sure they don’t get on your roof! People here sprinkle paprika on their roofs — the raccoons don’t like the smell of paprika!
Do they cause damage to roofs?
They do here — they’ll tear off all the shingles if left alone! The paprika is a popular deterrent here, –it doesn’t show or smell, except to the raccoons, who don’t like it!
Oh, tearing off shingles is not good.
