The sixth day of Cerwin’s birthday turned out to be a surprise.
Just before going to bed on Monday evening, I noticed that Paul and Debbie Leger were in our area to see Moses at Sight and Sound. We had served with them in Transport For Christ for many years. He and Debbie live in New Brunswick, Canada, where he serves on the chapel in Salisbury.
By the next morning we had an 11:45 reservation at Yoder’s Restaurant for several who also served in ministry with them. Diane (our visiting daughter) got he fun). She and Paul remembered each other from the Truck Rally in northern Maine (Houlton Airport).

Paul wanted a picture of all of us so asked our friendly waiter if he would do the honors of taking a photo.
I also handed my camera to the waiter.
It was so much fun to catch up on Paul and Debbie’s life. We hadn’t seen them for many years. We talked about things like the conference that celebrated 50 years of TFC in Moncton, Canada – just days after 9/11 and our visit when Sam, Alice, Cerwin and I went to Nova Scotia.
Surprises like that are always fun!
For sure.
