Our daughter Diane is here from Maine to help her daughter Abby before and after the birth of their fourth child.
We decided to give Abby a day off as she awaited the arrival of their little girl. Anthony, Jazzy and Natty were here for the day – and overnight.
We began a project of making bead necklaces.
Jazzy caught on quickly and loved making her necklace.
Natty tried too, but quickly gave up. It was a bit too much concentration for a twenty-one-month-old.
She did manage to get tangled in yarn and fall backwards into a toy basket. 🙂
Anthony was the first to finish so I started him on a plastic canvas project.
He stitched a duck like the one in this old project that I still have from the years we took a youth team to Pikangikum to teach Bible school. That was in the late 1980s. I had a girls class that made these canvas photos.
When Natty finished, he asked to play the block game on my laptop.
Then it was time for a game of Scum. Anthony loves to play this game.
After all the activity, we gave them permission to watch Power Rangers while we cleaned up the crafts, cards and toys.
Diane made a supper of chicken pies and took some over to Nate and Abby.
By bedtime the girls and Diane settled in for sleep in the guest room. Anthony chose the kid’s room couch.
We had a lot of fun and activity and hope Abby was able to relax.
I’ve only met you and your husband once, How grateful for that. Your everyday living with interaction of family, friends & faith hopefully will inspire others. Thank you for sharing!
Thank you for the encouraging words.
