My actual birthday began with breakfast at Hearth and Harrow which is the closest restaurant to us – about 3 miles.

This breakfast/brunch was initiated by my oldest brother, Dale, who is several years younger than I and his wife, Dot.

We had a delightful time, enjoying breakfast and conversation. It was so good to catch up on their lives – especially Dale’s since he had a tough journey with cancer and chemo last year.

By October (after feeling lousy for most of the year) he purposefully began a health journey than according to him is making him feel better every day.

He looks so good. That makes my heart smile. It was the best birthday present – even better than the Belgian chocolate bar they gave me. 🙂

On the way home I saw a small flock of snow geese behind our church. They have been in the area in very large numbers – which I have not yet seen. Consequently, it was good to see and hear this little group.
