Monday, January 23 and Wednesday, January 25

Monday’s snow didn’t amount to much – just a dusting on the landscape.
Wednesday’s snow was a different matter. It began snowing about 11 am and continued for two and a half hours.
This guy almost took my breath away when I looked out the window to check on the snow.
By the time it was finished at 1:30 pm we had a bit more than three inches.
We learned later that many people just southeast of us barely got snow.
We postponed two appointments – lunch with the Sauder Cousins and Cerwin’s hearing aid appointment at Costco – and a planned stop at Michaels Craft Store.
Cerwin thought he could use his high-powered leaf blower, but the snow was too heavy, so he got out his trusty snowblower.
The weather got a bit warmer and windy and by the next morning most of it was gone.
It’s so pretty — and the cardinal is spectacular against the white snow! But I’m glad our rain doesn’t come with the serious cold that you get with the snow!
I really enjoy the beauty of winter and the snow, but I can usually stay inside in the warm.
