We actually had snow on the ground for the first time this season. Granted, it wasn’t very much, but it was snow.
I took pictures because the forecast predicted that it would be gone in a few hours.
The prediction was correct, because one hour later it was melting.
I took mail to the mailbox and noticed that the snow had become slush.
The birds became busy about the time the snow began melting.
Nuthatches see to enjoy eating upside down – whether in a tree or at a suet.
I hadn’t seen a Northern Mockingbird for a while.
It looks unhappy about having its picture taken. 🙂
A female cardinal landed on the porch rail as I stood at the window.
About that time her partner joined her.
By 1 pm the snow was gone, and the landscape looked like we had rain instead of snow.
A male cardinal returned to the colander feeder for my last picture of the day.
