The grass is soft and green since last week’s rain – instead of dry and a bit crunchy
The mornings are still warm, but slightly cooler with a hint of fall in the air.
There is a bit of fog some mornings which highlights the gold on the corn tassels.
Don’t miss a beautiful morning.
Glad y’all got some rain. Here in Chambersburg, I haven’t stopped mowing lawn all summer. In fact a few weeks in August, I mowed twice, something I don’t think I’ve ever done…. Bill
Some of our grandsons mow lawns for a business and never stopped mowing in the Salunga area either, but we had several weeks where there was no need to mow the lawn.
We had triple digits for 10 days last week — and nearly that for about 6 weeks beforehand. The heat has finally broken, and I think the grass grew about 2″ overnight a couple of days ago! It’s still pretty warm, approaching 85-90, but much more comfortable than it was for a while!
Sounds more comfortable. We have been in the high 60s in the mornings.
Our early morninig temps have been in the mid 70’s for the last couple of mornings. — it’s MUCH more comfortable! It sounds as if fall icoming to your area!
