We arrived early to celebrate Jesse’s last day of Middle School and noticed this on the rolling screen in the hallway as we waited for Jere and Kristen who were serving ice cream to students.
This was the sign Jere and Kristen were holding up for the clap-out.
The clap-out happens when the 8th grade students walk around a selected area outside the school – and the lower grades, teachers, parents and grandparents clap for their success in graduating from Middle School. Notice Kristen, Cerwin and Jere on the left as we wait for Jesse.
The tall guy in the front is Nate, a good friend of Jesse’s. (Remember Cerwin and I won free mini-golf tickets at the Baron Breakfast the other week? Nate is going with Jesse and us.)
There’s Jesse! Center in green shirt.
We clapped and yelled extra loud when he went by us.
It’s not every day that your youngest grandson graduates from middle school. π
Shortly after we got home, his mom brought him to our house so we could see his award for Outstanding Academic Achievement.
Jesse thought maybe he should not smile so his braces wouldn’t show.
Nope! He looks more natural smiling – braces or no braces.
Congratulations, Jesse!
In a few months it will be high school.
Congratulations, Jesse!! Doris, it won’t be long until it’s the great-grandchildren graduating!
I know. That will be awhile, because Anthony is still in grade school.
As fast as time goes it won’t be that long at all! π
You have that right!
Congratulations to Jesse — and pretty soon he will be joined by the great grandchildren!
