3:00 PM Showing

~~~
Our group of 8 went because we wanted to see this production and also to celebrate Cerwin and Barb’s birthdays.
There was a long line of people standing in line to get family pictures in front of The Lion and The Lamb. I just stood to the side and got a shot of the statue without anyone in front of it.
While I was outside, Cerwin, Roy, Barb (his mom) and Deb waited for the others. We were early and waiting for the doors of the 2,000+seat auditorium to open.
Photos are not allowed inside the auditorium, so I had to be satisfied with those I could get.
We had gotten 7 seats next to each other – probably in January, then just a day before we went, Diane and Hannah came down from Maine to help Lydia move to a new apartment. While on the drive, Diane called to ask if I would check if there was a seat for her. She thought it would be fun to be with her dad on his birthday. The website said the 3:00 PM showing was sold out. I called to see if there were any cancelations. I told the salesperson that I needed only one ticket. He said, “We have only one!”
Diane didn’t care where the seat was, but it was 4 rows behind us. 🙂 When we noticed an empty seat in front of us during the first half, we invited Diane to sit with us during the second half. How nice was that.
What an amazing production!
Afterwards we went next door to Hershey Farm Restaurant for a buffet-style meal. It is a large restaurant that is popular with tourists and those coming from or going to Sight and Sound. A driveway connects the two attractions.
Deb thought there should be a photo that included me.
We were delighted to discover that Cerwin got a free meal and whoopie pie because we were there on his birthday.
This reminds us of the only bad part of the evening. Cerwin forgot to bring the whoopie home. 🙁 …and we were looking forward to tasting this delicious-looking delicacy.
