We spent about a half-an-hour at High Sports to honor Cerwin’s Aunt Betty, Cousin John and John’s wife, Rose. Aunt Betty died last fall from cancer and earlier this year John and Rose died from complications from Covid.
We spent most of the time visiting with aunts, uncles and cousins – while community visitors went to the driving range or played miniature golf.
Uncle Sam High (with hat) is the husband of Betty, father of John and father-in-law to Rose. Next to him is his son Scott. Bryan (right-center) is Sam’s nephew.
There was a decorative display of pictures that included Betty, John and Rose.
Our cousin Mark, Uncle Ivan and brother-in-law Mel.
Our cousin Eric, his wife Marsha, Aunt Gloria and Cerwin
Cerwin getting BBQ sandwiches at the food wagon. It was one of the best pulled pork sandwiches we have ever eaten.
Other’s getting their lunch.
Cousins Bryan and Jeanine.
It was a cold damp day to be outside, but it was wonderful to visit with relatives and honor Betty, John and Rose. Several more cousins came after we left.
That looks like a lovely way to honor Betty, John and Rose!
I thought so too. Not everyone owns a sports park to honor their loved ones.
