Kristen and I arrived early, which gave me time to get some pre-shower pictures.
The shower was held in the Bakery & Cafe part of Brick Gables.
Two of Nate’s sisters, Diana and Jenna were setting up the charcuterie board.
Working on flowers.
Nate’s mom, Chris
Nate was blowing up balloons for the arch.
Preparing punch
Diana adding sandwiches to the charcuterie board.
Kristen watching and talking to Jenna while she added sandwiches to her side of the board.
These make me hungry just looking at the photo.
They were delicious.
Everything is prepared and ready for lunch.
Dessert
Ice cream was added when it was time for dessert.
Nate recruited this little guy to keep him company when he prayed. They were they only two guys in the room except tiny babies.
This front table is where I sat with Kristen, Deb, Abby, Natalie and Lydia.
The lady on the right, Marilyn, is Lauree’s mom.
There was also tomato and broccoli and cheese soup – see bottom of the picture.
Enjoying lunch
Photos in the balloon arch.
Gifts
Lauree made the hostess gifts – chocolate hearts.
The inside of the chocolate heart – delicious peanut butter.
It was a delightful afternoon.
How wonderful. All the food looks delicious. Is that chicken salad on a croissant? it’s almost dinner time. All that amazing food and deserts are making me hungry!
Yes, it was a gourmet chicken salad on a croissant – and incredibly delicious. It made me feel like going out and buying chicken salad and croissants as I was posting this. π
My goodness, your family is exploding this summer! Have you doubled yet, from last summer?
We have 8 great grandchildren. By the end of June we will have 11. π
Is Nate your grandson, Doris? They are such a cute couple.
Yes. He is the second son of Jeff (our oldest son) and Chris.
